DSW Launches Same-Day Delivery with Uber Eats
Designer Brands Inc., parent of Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW), has partnered with Uber Eats to offer same-day delivery from nearly 500 DSW stores across the U.S. as of Sept. 17. Customers can now shop DSW through the Uber Eats app and track their shoe orders in real time for on-demand or scheduled delivery.
This move places DSW alongside major retailers like Best Buy, Sephora, Dollar Tree, and Dick’s Sporting Goods, who have also teamed up with Uber Eats to expand fulfillment options without overhauling their existing operations. The trend highlights how retailers are increasingly working with Uber Eats, Instacart, and DoorDash to provide shoppers with fast, convenient delivery.
While partnerships with delivery apps expand last-mile convenience, many retailers also look to Octopus Bridge by 24SevenCommerce to handle the front-end challenge of syncing inventory, pricing, and orders between their POS systems and ecommerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, and marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, and Walmart. With real-time updates, Octopus Bridge ensures accurate stock visibility, prevents overselling, and saves retailers from manual sync headaches.
As Hashim Amin, Uber’s head of retail for North America, said: “Style emergencies are real — and with DSW on Uber Eats, we’re making it easier than ever to look and feel your best, fast.” The combined power of same-day delivery and seamless inventory integration makes modern retail faster, smarter, and more customer-friendly.
